It rained and sometimes poured during the entire track meet. The kids did really well for the type of weather we had!

This was the steeple chase race... One girl fell in the water part and another girl jumped on top pushing her back under... The video doesn't do justice!

This is at Maple Mountain high school (Invitational)...

It was our first Invitational and we had a few of our runners/field events kids qualify for State. It was a beautiful day (70 degrees) and our kids did well.

We did overload the bus, though! ;)


Started off the day with going to the 2nd day of the Kearn's Relay track meet... The kids did well and the meet went by fast (it was cold today)!

 The high school kids had made Oreo pancakes for the coaches on the grill they brought. They tasted so good!

We have a good group of kids that make sure the coaches are taken care of. :) Here are some pictures of their races...

We also barbecued there... The coaches had steak, skewered vegetables and a baked potato... It was a good dinner! Thanks to the kids that cooked it up for us!

Juab Invitational

As we were on our way to Juab's Invitational, our bus driver was pulled over. We felt so bad for him, but he was a good sport and got us to the meet on time.


 At the track meet, the kids raced well. They ran hard, cheered loud and ate good food!

Our 2 milers raced well! It was fun to watch. The 4x400 relay race on both the male and females was also an exciting race to watch. It was a close race for both teams. They both placed 2nd but put up a good fight.

Payson Relays

It was a relay track meet. More of a fun meet for the kids.

One of my distance runners was not put on a relay team (he was sick the day before). He came to the meet and wanted to race. We tried to put together the 4 x 1 mile relay race but all the distance runners had either maxed out on races or couldn't do it... So 3 javelin throwers stood up and said they would do it. They are not distance runners!!! One of the throwers is the top 2 in State right now...

He actually threw his best mark by 10 feet 15 minutes after he finished the mile. It was fun to see these 3 jump up and do it for him.

Overall the high school kids ran well (especially in the wind we had).

Juab Invitational Results

Great meet tonight team!!  We, as coaches are really proud of the way we are competing and improving each week.  Way to go!  Our Boys team finished in 3rd place, and our girls took 1st!!  Great job to all of you.  Complete Results can be found HERE.

Remember we will be practicing over Spring Break each morning @ 8:00 am.  Please join us--we have a lot of work left to do!
